The Plan

This Roseland Community Medical District Master Plan, adopted November 17, 2022 by Chicago Plan Commission, sets forth the vision, physical framework, development strategy and design guidelines for the planning, design, construction, and operation of a mixed-use campus focused on high-quality patient care, outpatient services, and related investment to address longstanding community needs.

In November 2019, the Far South Community Development Corporation and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) published the Roseland Medical District Existing Conditions Report & Market Analysis which outlines the baseline conditions of the Medical District and surrounding area. The goal of the planning project is to build on this report and develop a comprehensive plan for the Roseland Medical District to guide future public and private investment focused on the expansion of health and wellness-related uses, as well as ensure the public way and publicly-accessible private outdoor space is conducive to safe mobility.
