The Chicago Aviation Summit and Job Fair, hosted by Chicago Department of Aviation, connects job seekers with career opportunities at O’Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport. Attendees can meet employers, explore aviation careers, and access hiring and training resources across the industry. 

The Chicago Career Fair hosted by City Career Fair connects job seekers with hiring employers across multiple industries through in person networking and interviews. Attendees can explore open roles, meet recruiters, and access resources to advance their careers. 

Indeed is a leading online job search platform that helps individuals find employment opportunities, post resumes, and connect with employers across a wide range of industries. Users can search jobs, set alerts, research companies, and apply directly through the site.

The Chicago Transit Authority Red Line Extension Workforce Program connects Chicago residents to training, hiring opportunities, and supportive services tied to the Red Line Extension project. Eligible participants can access career pathways in construction and related fields through partnerships with local workforce organizations. 

 We are ramping up for our fourth and final module in this series in our Youth Research & Data Justice Academy pilot. We are accepting new students through May 31, 2026, for our Data in Action module. If you have a student who is interested, share the application information below. This pilot program is designed for Chicago’s Black and Brown youth & young adults, ages 16-24, teaching them practical and justice-centered research, data, AI, and technology skills. 

The Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program at Chicago State University prepares students with the essential skills and clinical experience needed to provide direct patient care in healthcare settings. Participants receive hands-on training aligned with state requirements to become certified nursing assistants and pursue entry-level roles in the healthcare field. 

The Pharmacy Technician Program at Chicago State University equips students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to support pharmacists in preparing medications, managing inventory, and assisting patients. The program prepares participants for entry level roles in retail and healthcare settings and helps position them for national certification. 

Project Evolve at Olive-Harvey College provides Chicago residents with tuition free, fast track training for high demand careers, along with support including books, transportation, childcare, career coaching, and stipends up to $500. Programs span fields such as automotive technology, CDL training, cybersecurity, diesel technology, supply chain logistics, and software development, and eligible applicants can apply through Olive Harvey College with questions directed to OHCProjectEvolve@ccc.edu. 

The Revolution Workshop offers free, hands-on construction training programs that equip participants with the skills, certifications, and support needed to enter the trades. Through paid training, job placement assistance, and ongoing career coaching, participants are prepared for long-term employment in the construction industry. 

The Workforce Empowerment Initiative (WEI) provides eligible Chicago residents with no-cost, fast-track training through the City Colleges of Chicago. Designed to improve employment outcomes for unemployed and under-employed individuals, WEI covers full tuition and books while offering wraparound support, including job training, career placement assistance, childcare and transportation help, and employability skill development. The Chicago Urban League Workforce Development programs provide job training, career coaching, and placement support to help individuals build skills and secure sustainable employment. Participants gain access to industry aligned training, employer connections, and resources designed to advance long term career success. 

The Chicago Women in Trades provides training, resources, and advocacy to help women enter and succeed in skilled trades careers. Through hands on programs, technical training, and job placement support, participants are prepared for sustainable, high paying careers in construction and related industries.
