Youth Research & Data Justice Academy

 We are ramping up for our fourth and final module in this series in our Youth Research & Data Justice Academy pilot. We are accepting new students through May 31, 2026, for our Data in Action module. If you have a student who is interested, share the application information below. This pilot program is designed for Chicago’s Black and Brown youth & young adults, ages 16-24, teaching them practical and justice-centered research, data, AI, and technology skills.

Project Evolve at Olive-Harvey College provides Chicago residents with tuition free, fast track training for high demand careers, along with support including books, transportation, childcare, career coaching, and stipends up to $500. Programs span fields such as automotive technology, CDL training, cybersecurity, diesel technology, supply chain logistics, and software development, and eligible applicants can apply through Olive Harvey College with questions directed to OHCProjectEvolve@ccc.edu.

The Workforce Empowerment Initiative (WEI) provides eligible Chicago residents with no-cost, fast-track training through the City Colleges of Chicago. Designed to improve employment outcomes for unemployed and under-employed individuals, WEI covers full tuition and books while offering wraparound support, including job training, career placement assistance, childcare and transportation help, and employability skill development.
